Thank you for wanting to reach out as you seek deeper healing, for yourself or a loved one. If we were to give any practical guidance or healing prayer, it would require talking with you more, hearing more of your story and really listening to God on your behalf. Unfortunately, that's not something we can offer. However, because this is an area that people regularly reach out to us about—seeking advice, prayer and counsel—we'd like to offer some resources that have been helpful to others:
- First, visit the prayers on our Wild at Heart website. All of these will be helpful tools, but specifically helpful will be the prayer written by John as a means of healing sexual brokenness.
- Then, there is some good teaching on the subject of men’s sexuality in the audio teaching Men Talking About Women. And this podcast by our And Sons team will give you a lot to ponder—we think you'll find it fascinating, liberating, and encouraging.
- John was a podcast guest with this topic: How Does Loss of a Man's Heart Contribute to Sex Addiction?
-

https://theallendercenter.org/2018/10/sexual-brokenness-healing-2/ - If you're in need of a counselor—and we can't overstate how important we believe counseling is to the healing process—please go to the Allies Network page on our website. Many of our counselor friends offer counseling via Zoom, so if you don't find someone right near you, I'd be happy to give you some suggestions for some great options who could counsel remotely.
Ultimately, may the God who provides shelter, comfort, grace, forgiveness, and healing provide a path, a light to follow. Our prayer is that God would bring a wise heart, a sage, into this for the counsel and support needed.
